Adult Basic Education: GED Prep classes and more

Our free Adult Basic and Adult Secondary Education classes are designed to help students improve skills in language arts and mathematics in order to reach educational and post-secondary goals of obtaining a High School Equivalency certification (GED), passing the Accuplacer, improving job opportunities, or entering a college, trade school or certificate program.

Students may select a Language Arts or Math course, or both. Classes are leveled by skills needed to increase literacy, reading or mathematics for each student. Science and Social Studies content are incorporated into the classes. These face-to-face classes, with a certified teacher, combine classroom instruction with computer-based exercises tailored to each student.

  • Classes are held in person (some online options available)
  • All levels and subjects
  • Six hours in class and two hours of at home, online study required
  • All students must attend a registration session for testing.
